Munxar Falcons returned to winning ways in the BOV Gozo Football League Second Division after defeating Sannat Lions 3-1 at the Kercem Ajax Stadium on Saturday.

Michael Matthias Uzor put the Falcons ahead on the 5th minute, Jordi Parnis doubled the score on the 15th and two minutes later, Oliver Curmi scored the third goal before Fabian Xuereb pulled one back on the 33rd.

Meanwhile on Friday, Qala Saints registered their first win as they beat Xaghra United 2-1. Joseph Mercieca put Xaghra ahead on the 57th minute but one minute later, Malcolm Cefai equalised and one minute in added time, Jake Mifsud notched the winner.

Zebbug Rovers moved second thanks to a 3-2 win over St Lawrence Spurs. Mohammed Senussi Telessi put the Spurs ahead five minutes from the end of the first half but Botshelo Gibson Mfuluane converted a penalty to equalise on the 62nd and four minutes later, Chris Borg made it 2-1. Twelve minutes from time, Jason Theuma levelled matters for the Spurs but one minute in added time, Botshelo Gibson Mfuluane scored a third goal for the Rovers.
