Mqabba dropped two important points in the battle for promotion as they were held in a 1-1 draw by Melita at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Friday.

Miguel Ciantar put Mqabba ahead on the 32nd minute but Melita equalised two minutes in added time thanks to Luke Micallef.

Qormi lead the way with 35 points, followed by Mqabba on 32, Pieta 30, Zebbug 27, Vittoriosa 25, Zejtun 23, Sirens 20, Qrendi 19, San Gwann 18, Pembroke and Zabbar 13, Melita 12, Marsa 11 and Rabat 4.
