Six Premier League players suspended

Six Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s match.

Sean Cipriott (Tarxien) was banned for three matches while Uros Ljubomirac and Milos Lepovic (Balzan), Thiago Espinodola de Paula (Hamrun), Bjorn Kristensen (Hibs) and Matias Nicolas Garcia (Senglea) were handed a one-match ban.

Cipriott skips the games against Naxxar, Sliema and Valletta. Balzan will be lacking Ljubomirac and Lepovic for the game against Floriana, Thiaguinho is ruled out of the game against Gzira and Kristensen and Garcia for the clash between Hibernians and Senglea.

Balzan coach Marko Micovic was banned for one match.

In Division 1, Joseph Farrugia and Ryan Mercieca (Marsa), Mead Mifsud (Pembroke), Jamie Azzopardi (Qormi), Aaron Agius (Qrendi), Neil Caruana (Rabat), Daniel Sant, Jean Noel Azzopardi and Isaac Chircop (Sirens), Yessous Camilleri and Diego Albanese (Zejtun) were all handed a one-match ban.

Fabian Zammit (Attard) for two matches in Division 2 while Dylan Lee Tanti (Gharghur), Christopher Grech (Gudja), Karl Saliba and Julian Briffa (Kalkara), Gianluca Vella (Mgarr), Mauro Busuttil (Siggiewi), Kevin Camilleri (Santa Lucia) were all suspended for one match.

In Division 3, Liam Nigel Grech (Ghaxaq), Fabio Muscat (Msida) and Nathan Zammit (Zurrieq) were suspended for one match. Mellieha coach Alex Delia was banned for two matches while Kirkop kit-manager Redeemer Caruana was banned for six matches
