Four Premier League players suspended

Four Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Sebastian Nayar (Floriana), Andrew Cohen (Gzira), Kevaughn St Michael Atkinson (St. Andrews) and Andre Charles Scicluna (Tarxien) are therefore ruled out of this weekend’s matches.

Nayar is ruled out for Floriana against Mosta, Cohen for the big match against Balzan, Atkinson for the match against Naxxar and Scicluna for the clash with Valletta.
St. Andrews team manager Alex Busuttil was also banned for one match.

In Division 1, Melvin Busuttil (Marsa), Mark Russo (Melita), Njongo Priso (Pembroke), Ishaya Irimiya Jalo and Dylan Agius (Pietà), Lubos Adamec (Qormi), Tonio D’Amato (Qrendi), Iro Curmi (Sirens) and Glen Tabone (Zabbar) were all banned for one match. Marsa kit manager Ayrton Bonnici was suspended for four matches while Zejtun official was handed a two-match ban.

In Division 2, St. George’s had four players suspended – Dylan Sammut for four matches, Christian Grech and Keith Darmanin for three matches and Heathcliff Schembri for one match. Gilbert Martin and Abeeb Abiodun Williams (Fgura), Jason Good (Luqa), Clive Fenech (Marsaxlokk), Jamie Lee Micallef (Mgarr) and Stacey Vella (Siggiewi) were handed a one-match ban. Siggiewi official Victor Camilleri and team manager Clifford Vassallo were both banned for four matches.

In Division 3, Clayton Xuereb (Ghaxaq), Iliasu Olayiwola Salaudeen (Kirkop), Paul Azzopardi (Mtarfa) and Mohamed Ibrahim Tarek (Zurrieq) were suspended for one match.
