Nine Premier League players suspended

Nine Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Bojan Kaljevic (Balzan), Amadou Samb (Gzira), Guilherme Felipe de Castro (Hamrun), Davide Mansi (Mosta), Daren Falzon (Naxxar), Gonzalo Julian Leyton (Senglea), Kemmu Degran Jackson and Ricardo Adrian Martin (St. Andrews) and Ebiabowei Baker (Tarxien) are therefore ruled out of this weekend’s matches.

Kaljevic is ruled out of this weekend’s big match against Birkirkara, Jackson and Martin are ruled out for St. Andrews in the game Sliema, de Castro and Falzon will miss Naxxar vs Hamrun, Samb and Mansi the clash between Mosta and Gzira, Leyton the clash with Floriana while Baker skips the basement clash with Lija.

In Division 1, Aud-Gustine James Obaje (Zebbug) was banned for three matches while Fabian Lufi (Melita), Yanis Tonna (Pembroke), Christian Degabriele (Pietà), Dylan Zarb (Qrendi) and Leighton Grech (Zebbug) were handed a one-match ban.

Shaun Bonello (Gharghur) was suspended for seven matches in Division 2, Antoine Barbara (Marsaxlokk) for two while Jurgen Gauci and Matthew Bajada (Attard), Adolphus Nagbe Marshall (Gudja), Josef Cutajar (Marsaxlokk), Carmelo Farrugia and Steven Meilak (Santa Lucia) were all handed a one-match ban.

In Division 3, Mark Vassallo (Dingli), Christian Bugeja (Marsaskala), Sean Attard (Msida), Adrian Lanzon (Mtarfa) and Adrian Cutajar (Zurrieq) were all suspended for one match.
