Victoria Hotspurs move ten points clear

Leaders Victoria Hotspurs moved ten points clear in the BOV Gozo Football League First Division as they registered a most comfortable 6-0 win over Ghajnsielem on Friday.

Elton da Silva gave the Hotspurs a two-goal lead with goals on the 11th and 36th and five minutes later, Galder Dwomoh Lombas added another. Dwomoh Lombas made it 4-0 thirteen minutes in the second half and Elton da Silva increased the lead further on the 62nd before Dwomoh Lombas scored a sixth goal on the 76th minute.

On Sunday, a goal after just two minutes by Ryan Grech handed SK Victoria Wanderers a shock win over Nadur Youngsters while a penalty in added time by Marcelo Barbosa gave Gharb Rangers a narrow win over Xewkija Tigers.

In another match on Friday, Kercem Ajax defeated Oratory Youths 2-1. Ralph Ebube Okpokwu put Oratory ahead on the 26th but Alen Haska equalised just before half-time and Andrew Mizzi notched the winner on the 54th.

In the BOV Gozo Football League Second Division, Sannat Lions defeated Xaghra United 3-0 thanks to goals by Mohammed Senussi Telessi on the 35th and 56th and Antoine Camilleri on the 52nd.

Munxar Falcons, on the other hand defeated St Lawrence Spurs by the odd goal in five. Charlon Farrugia converted a penalty three minutes from the end of the first half to hand St. Lawrence the lead. Samuel Muscat equalised on the 77th thanks to another penalty. Frank Attard put Munxar ahead on the 81st but although three minutes in added time, Radovan Djuric levelled matters, Joseph Grima made it 3-2 for Munxar.
