Munxar Falcons claimed the GFA Second Division Knock-Out after defeating Sannat Lions on penalties in the final which was played on Monday at the Kercem Ajax Stadium.

Michael Matthias Uzor put Munxar ahead on the 11th minute but Antoine Camilleri equalised on the 24th. Both sides had two players sent off and with the score remaining 1-1 at the end of the ninety minutes and after extra-time, the penalty shoot-out had to decide the issue.

Sannat scored through Matthew Portelli, Mohammed Senussi Telessi, Mark Muscat, Josiah Buttigieg, Eric Gauci and Frankie Camilleri while Nicholas Micallef hit the crossbar and Simon Sultana hit wide. On the other hand, the BOV Gozo Football League Second Division leaders scored through Lorjean Xuereb, Oliver Curmi, Samuel Muscat, Jordi Parnis, Christian Bugeja, Frank Attard and Chris Gafa with Michael Matthias Uzor having his penalty saved by the Sannat goalkeeper.
