Champions Valletta were drawn with runners-up Balzan in the semi-finals of the FA Trophy powered by Boost Diesel. Birkirkara take on Sliema Wanderers in the other semi-final.

Birkirkara FC vs Sliema Wanderers will be played on Saturday 28 and Valletta FC vs Balzan FC on Sunday 29. Both matches kick-off at 16:00 at the National Stadium. The final scheduled for May 5.

Sliema won the the FA Trophy 21 times, Valletta 13 and Birkirkara 5. Balzan only reached the final once but are yet to win a major honour in the history of the club.

In the previous rounds of the FA Trophy, Valletta beat Senglea 2-0, Pietà 1-0 and Zejtun 2-0 while Balzan defeated Gudja 4-1, Naxxar 2-0 and Lija 3-1.

In the two Premier League encounters, Balzan defeated Valletta 2-1 in the first round with the second round clash ending in a goalless draw.

The Wanderers defeated St. Andrews 3-1, Hamrun 1-0 and Hibernians on penalties following a goalless draw. On the other hand, Birkirkara defeated Santa Lucia 5-0, San Gwann 2-1 after extra-time and Qrendi 3-0.

Sliema defeated Birkirkara 3-0 in the BOV Premier League first round while the second round clash ended in a 2-1 win for Birkirkara.
