Birkirkara, Mgarr United reach Women’s Knock-Out final

Birkirkara and Mgarr United reached the final of the Women’s Knock-Out which will be played on Tuesday 15th May at the Centenary Stadium, kick-off at 20:00.

In the semi-finals, Birkirkara found no difficulty in beating Raiders (Luxol) 8-0 at the Charles Abela Stadium on Wednesday. Joselene Gafa put the Stripes ahead on the 16th minute and three minutes later, Alishia Sultana doubled the score. Raina Giusti made it 3-0 on the 23rd and Tracy Teuma added another on the half-hour. Stephania Farrugia converted a penalty six minutes from the end of the first half and just before half-time, Raina Giusti added another. Anne Marie Said increased the lead six minutes in the second half and Tracy Teuma scored the eighth goal on the 70th.

Mgarr United beat Kirkop United 4-0 at the Charles Abela Stadium on Tuesday thanks to goals by Rebecca D’Agostino on the 7th minute, Claudette Xuereb on the 22nd, Roxanne Micallef on the 48th and D’Agostino on the 67th.
