Hamrun sign Sebastian Nayar from Floriana

Hamrun Spartans continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Argentinian midfielder Sebastian Nayar from Floriana.

After a first spell with the Greens in the latter part of season 2016/17, the thirty-year old had re-joined Floriana in January from Lincoln FC of Gibraltar. Earlier in his career, the Boca Juniors product played for Recreativo Huelva in Spain, Deportivo Cali in Colombia, Atlante in Mexico, Aldosivi in Argentina, Orihuela CF and San Roque in Spain, AOK Kerkyra, AE Larisa and Panegialios in Greece.

Last week, the Spartans had also signed Italian winger Pietro Viggiani who was on the books of Qormi in seasons 2014/15 and 2015/16.

He then moved to CD Leganes B and had a spell on loan with FC Cartagena in Spain. More recently, he was on the books of CF Ungheni in Moldova, Como and Capo Rizzuto in Italy. The Cosenza product had earlier played for AC Sementina and Rapid Lugano in Switzerland before joining Qormi.

Hamrun had earlier secured the services of Antonio Monticelli, goalkeeper Manuel Bartolo and defender Matthew Gauci.
