Enrico Piccioni returns as Mosta FC coach

Enrico Piccioni has been re-appointed as coach of Mosta FC after serving the Blues for a year betweeen 2013 and 2014.

The Italian coach had joined Mosta in summer 2013 as technical director but took over as coach in December when the club terminated the contract of Danilo Doncic. With a good run of a draw and five wins, the Blues had secured a place in the Championship Pool, collecting thirteen points in the second phase to finish fourth.

The following season, Mosta had an almost perfect start, winning four of the first five matches but was sacked after the team conceded five consecutive defeats.

At Mosta, Piccioni will be assisted by Johann Cilia while Ivan Casha will goalkeepers’ coach. Paul Sansome will be the physical trainer.

Early in his career, Piccioni coaches Citta di Castello, Civitanovese, Tolentino, Jesina, Vis Pesaro, Montecchio and Sambenedettese in Italy, Botev Plovdiv and Shumen in Bulgaria.
