New signings for Pietà Hotspurs

After signing goalkeeper Nicky Vella from Valletta, newly-promoted Pietà Hotspurs secured the services of two new foreign players – Paul Chimezie and Antônio Orlando Queiroz Macedo Neto.

Thirty-one year old Nigerian striker Paul Chimezie has been playing in Malta for the past three years, joining Marsa in 2015, moving to Mqabba in January 2016.

On the other hand, twenty-eight year old Brazilian central defender Tony had started his career with Desportiva Ferroviaria and then played for Boa Esporte, EC Pelotas, Santa Rita and UA Barbarense. He moved to Italy in 2015 to join Chieti and the following season, he joined Gzira. He was released in summer 2017 but re-joined the club last November.
