Difficult test for Gzira United as they face Hamrun Spartans

Following a 4-1 win over Tarxien Rainbows in their first outing, Gzira United face a difficult test as they take on Hamrun Spartans in one of the four BOV Premier League matches in programme on Saturday.

At the National Stadium, kick-off at 18:30, the Maroons will be all out to take the three points but they face Hamrun who also claimed maximum points from their first outing as they defeated Floriana 2-0.

In the second match at the National Stadium, kick-off at 20:30, Valletta face Hibernians. The champions disappointed in their first outing as they lost 0-3 to Sliema Wanderers. They are therefore eager to bounce back from this heavy defeat. They face a Hibernians side who struggled to beat newly-promoted Pietà Hotspurs in their first outing, defeating them 2-1.

In the first match at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, kick-off at 18:30, Birkirkara start as firm favourites to collect their second win as they take on Pietà Hotspurs. The Stripes managed to beat Balzan in their first outing and a win on Saturday would ensure they maintain a hundred per cent record. On the other hand, Pietà chase their first positive result following the defeat to Hibs last week.

Jalo Ishaya Irimiya is ruled out for Pietà as he serves a one-match ban.

In the second match at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, kick-off at 20:45, Balzan take on Qormi. Balzan will be all out to take home the three points following the disappointing start in the defeat to Birkirkara. Qormi, on the other hand, target another positive result after defeating Senglea Athletic 1-0 last week.

Ricardo Calixto Correa is ruled out for Balzan as he was handed a three-match ban.
