Balzan chase third win

Following back-to-back wins over Qormi and Senglea Athletic, Balzan will be all out to claim the three points on Friday as they take on Mosta at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, kick-off at 20:15.

However this will be no easy task for Balzan as they face a team who also claimed six points so far in two wins over Senglea Athletic and Tarxien Rainbows in their last two outings following a disappointing start against St. Andrews.

A win for either side would temporarily lift the winner on top the BOV Premier League table.

Ricardo Correa is ruled out for Balzan as he serves a three-match ban.

At the Victor Tedesco Stadium, kick-off 18:00, Pietà Hotspurs take on Senglea Athletic.

The Hotspurs earned their first point in a draw with Qormi last week and now target another positive result against Senglea Athletic – a team chasing its first point after losing their first three matches.

On the other hand, after suffering defeats to Qormi, Mosta and Balzan, Senglea will be all out to claim maximum points from this clash. They have now appointed a new coach Vincenzo Potenza and welcomed back Matias Garcia and Augusto Rene Caseres.

At the National Stadium, kick-off at 19:00, Valletta aim for a second consecutive win as they take on Qormi.

Following defeats to Sliema Wanderers and Hibernians, Valletta registered an emphatic 3-0 win over Birkirkara and against Qormi, they will be all out to claim another three points. Qormi, on the other hand, hope for a positive result after defeating Senglea, losing to Balzan and being held in a draw by Pietà.
