Balzan seek fourth consecutive win

Balzan will be aiming for a fourth consecutive win as they take on newly promoted Pietà Hotspurs in one of the two BOV Premier League matches in programme on Saturday at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, kick-off at 15:00.

A win would put them temporarily on top ahead of leaders Gzira United’s clash with Birkirkara on Sunday.

The Hotspurs, on the other hand, are currently second from bottom on two points after draws with Qormi and Senglea in their last two outings.

Balzan welcome back Ricardo Calixto Correa Duarte after serving a three-match ban but Milos Lepovic is ruled out through suspension.

Meanwhile in the second match, kick-off at 17:15, Mosta take on Hamrun Spartans.

The Spartans suffered their first defeat last week when they were beaten 1-2 by Tarxien Rainbows and are therefore eager to bounce back with a win. However Mosta won two out of the last three matches, losing to Balzan 1-3 last week, and eye a positive result from this clash.
