Zurrieq and Xghajra Tornados maintained a perfect record with a fourth win in as many matches in the BOV Third Division at the Sirens Stadium on Saturday.

Goals by Claudio Calleja on the 42nd and Julian Briffa on the 65th gave Zurrieq a 2-0 win over Mdina Knights.

In another match, Xghajra Tornados beat Ghaxaq 2-1. Alexander Cauchi put Xghajra ahead on the 3rd minute and William Barbosa converted a penalty to level matters a minute later. However Alexander Cauchi restored the lead twelve minutes in the second half.

Zurrieq and Xghajra lead the way with 12 points, followed by Dingli on 9, Mdina and Attard 6, Kirkop and Msida 4, Marsaskala and Ghaxaq 3, Gharghur, Mtarfa and Ta’ Xbiex 0.
