Sliema eye win over Mosta to keep pace with leaders

Sliema Wanderers will be hoping to return to winning ways on Sunday as they take on Mosta at the Centenary Stadium, kick-off at 15:00.

The Wanderers lie in third place on 13 points, six behind leaders Gzira and two behind Valletta and therefore a win over Mosta would put them back in second place. In their last outing, they dropped two points in a goalless draw with Hamrun Spartans.

Mosta, on the other hand, lost two out of the last three matches and are currently tenth on seven points. In their last outing, they lost 1-3 to Pietà Hotspurs.

Meanwhile in the second match, Hibernians take on Hamrun Spartans.

Hibs registered back-to-back wins over St. Andrews and Tarxien in their last two outings and share fourth place with Balzan and Birkirkara. The Spartans, on the other hand, lie three points behind after losing to Tarxien and earning just two points from the last two matches in goalless draws with Mosta and Sliema.

Hamrun Spartans goalkeeper Manuel Bartolo is ruled out through suspension.
