Birkirkara face Spartans test

After defeating Tarxien Rainbows in their last outing, Birkirkara will be aiming for a second consecutive win as they take on Hamrun Spartans at the Centenary Stadium on Friday, kick-off at 19:00.

The Stripes are currently sixth on 12 points, three behind third-placed Valletta, Balzan and Hibernians and therefore a win over Hamrun would put them on level points with them.

The Spartans lie three points behind and have now gone four matches without a win, earning their only points in two draws with Mosta and Sliema. In their last outing, they lost 1-2 to Hibernians.

Hamrun welcome back goalkeeper Manuel Bartolo but Carlos Henneberg is ruled out as he serves a one-match ban.
