Victoria Hotspurs’ forward Elton Alexandre Da Silva was chosen as the BOV GFA Player of the month for September 2018.

Da Silva joined Victoria Hotspurs’ at the beginning of the last football season and immediately made an impact helping Spurs to the title and ending the season as the BOV GFA First Division League top scorer.

During the month of September Elton Da Silva confirmed that he is still the foremost striker in Gozitan football scoring twice in the Spurs’ 8-0 routing of Msida St. Joseph in the preliminary round of the FA Trophy and was crucial in their 4-1 win over Attard in the first round of the same competition.

The prolific striker opened his account in the BOV GFA League with a hat-trick in their 3-2 victory against Nadur Youngsters, and followed up with another hat-trick in the second game of the season in the 6-1 win over Kercem Ajax.

Horace Laudi, Executive, Gozo Region for Bank of Valletta presented the trophy for the BOV GFA Player of the Month to Elton who chose Fondazzjoni Arka to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
