BOV Women’s League: Birkirkara make it three wins in a row

Birkirkara registered their third win in the BOV Women’s League after defeating Mosta 5-0 at the Mgarr Ground on Tuesday.

Ann-Marie Said opened the score on the 13th minute but the Stripes had to wait until the second half to increase the lead. Stephania Farrugia doubled the score on the 58th, Ylenia Carabott converted a penalty on the 65th and Farrugia made it 4-0 on the 70th. Kelly Agius Pace scored a fifth goal two minutes from time.

Kirkop United registered a comfortable 6-0 win over Fgura United at the Fgura Ground. Eliana Gialanze put Kirkop ahead on the 27th and Isabelle Mazzitelli doublers the score on the half-hour. Liis Pello made it 3-0 on the 58th and substitute Demi Magrin notched a late hat-trick with goals on the 75th, 76th and 86th. 

In another match on Tuesday, Raiders (Luxol) and Swieqi United shared the spoils in a goalless draw at the Charles Abela Stadium.

Meanwhile Hibernians registered their first win as they beat Mgarr United 3-2 at the Mgarr Ground on Wednesday. 

Dorianne Theuma converted a penalty on the 7th minute and Vitoria Macedo Semente Macieria doubled the score on the 22nd. Mgarr hit back with goals by Amber Grech on the 48th and Brenda Borg on the 72nd to level matters. However Dorianne Theuma scored another on the 77th to hand the Paolites the three points.
