Seven Premier League players suspended

Seven Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Danilo Augusto Chapoval (Birkirkara), Zachary Scerri (Gzira), Karl Micallef (Hamrun), Paul Chimezie (Pietà), Braian Alexis Volpini (Senglea), Kilian Amehi (Sliema) and Kevyn Mcfarlane (St. Andrews) were all handed a one-match ban.

Zach Scerri is ruled out of this weekend’s top-of-the-table clash between Gzira and Valletta. Karl Micallef and Braian Volpini will skip the clash between Hamrun and Senglea; Mcfarlane and Chimezie are ruled out of St. Andrews vs Pietà; Amehi will miss the game against Qormi and Chapoval the clash with Hibernians.

Miguel Attard (Gudja), Melvin Busuttil (Marsa), Brandon Grech (Mqabba), Marco Antonio Morgon Filho (Sirens), Joseph JoJo Ogunnupe (Vittoriosa) and Steven Schembri (Zebbug) were all suspended for one match in Division 1. Luka Mijic (Sirens) was banned for three matches and Zebbug Rangers coach Edgar Degabriele was suspended for four matches.

In Division 2, Radnor Farrugia (Luqa), Jamie Lee Micallef (Mgarr) and Michael Grima (Sta. Venera) were suspended for one match while Tyrone Grech (Sta. Venera) was handed a three-match ban.

In Division 3, Neville Zerafa (Xghajra) was suspended for three matches while Matthew Spiteri (Xghajra) was suspended for one match.
