At a hearing held on Monday, January 28, 2019, the Protests Board of the Malta Football Association turned down the protest filed by Hibernians FC against the result of their 2018/19 BOV Premier League second-round match against Valletta FC.

The match, which ended 2-1 in favour of Valletta, was played at the National Stadium on January 20, 2019.

The decision by the MFA Protests Board means that the result is to stand.
