Dingli Swallows and Mdina Knights shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw in one of two matches from the BOV Third Division at the Sirens Stadium on Saturday.

Ryan Sciberras put Mdina ahead on the 20th but Dylan Mercieca equalised thanks to a penalty on the 33rd. Dylan Mercieca made it 2-1 for Dingli on the 73rd but a penalty deep into stoppage time by Daniel Cremona restored the equilibrium.

In another match, Marsaskala defeated Mtarfa 3-2. Ryan Debono opened the score for Mtarfa on the 6th minute but goals by Brandon Saliba on the 35th, Eric Zammit on the 79th and Mark Deguara on the 84th turned the score in favour of Marsaskala. In added time, Majed Shaglebo reduced the gap for Mtarfa.

Zurrieq lead the way with 38 points, followed by Xghajra on 35, Dingli and Attard 26, Msida 25, Mdina 21, Kirkop 20, Ghaxaq 18, Ta’ Xbiex 12, Gharghur 9, Marsaskala 6 and Mtarfa 0.
