Leaders Zurrieq dropped two points in the race for the championship after being held in a 1-1 draw by Mdina Knights in one of the two BOV Third Division matches at the Sirens Stadium on Saturday.

Julien Iwueke put Mdina ahead on the 62nd minute but Jason Camilleri equalised for Zurrieq nine minutes from time.

In another match, a goal by Luke Galea on the 1st minute, a Dylan Mercieca penalty on the 23rd and an own goal five minutes from time handed Dingli Swallows a 3-0 win over Gharghur.

Zurrieq lead the way with 39 points, followed by Xghajra on 38, Dingli 29, Attard 26, Msida 25, Mdina 22, Kirkop 21, Ghaxaq 19, Ta’ Xbiex 12, Gharghur 9, Marsaskala 6 and Mtarfa 0.
