Qormi shock Floriana

A goal by Antonio Rozzi eight minutes from the end of the first half enabled Qormi to beat Floriana 1-0 at the Centenary Stadium. A win which puts Mario Muscat’s side on level points with Pietà Hotspurs on the ten-point mark.

On the other hand, it was yet another disappointing result for Floriana who have now won just one out of the last eight matches. The Greens share the tenth place with St. Andrews, one point behind Mosta and Tarxien and just one ahead of Senglea.

Qormi scored the all-important goal on the 37th minute when Antonio Rozzi’s conclusion beat goalkeeper Ini Etim Akpan following a slight deflection by a defender.
