Mosta win entertaining clash

Mosta collected three precious points as they defeated Pietà Hotspurs by the odd goal in five at the National Stadium on Thursday.

Mosta took the lead on the 25th minute when off a corner from the left, Tyrone Farrugia’s diving header beat goalkeeper Nicky Vella.

On the 36th minute, Mosta doubled the score thanks to Dexter Xuereb whose cross shot from the right caught the goalkeeper out of place with the ball ending at the back of the net.

Three minutes later, the Hotspurs reduced the gap when Jan Busuttil’s long distance shot hit the crossbar with Nicholas Pisani hitting home off the rebound.
