Mqabba registered a third win in a row in the BOV First Division as they beat Qrendi 1-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday. A win which enables them to join Vittoriosa on the 22-point mark.

Francesco Gusman scored the all-important goal eleven minutes from time.

Sirens lead the way on 43 points, followed by Gudja on 38, Santa Lucia 32, Naxxar 27, Swieqi 26, Lija 25, Pembroke and Zejtun 23, Vittoriosa and Mqabba 22, Zebbug 21, Qrendi 17, San Gwann 16 and Marsa 5.
