St. George’s missed the opportunity to move second in the BOV Second Division as they were held in a 2-2 draw by Melita at the Centenary Stadium on Monday.

Mattia Mentosa put the Saints ahead on the 21st minute and Christian Cassar doubled the score eight minutes from the end of the first half. However two minutes in the second half, Alan Borg Olivier reduced the gap and Antoine Attard equalised on the 64th.

In another match, a goal by Andre Joe Cutajar on the 85th minute handed Zabbar St. Patrick a narrow win over Siggiewi in a direct clash against relegation.

Fgura lead the way with 43 points, followed by Marsaxlokk on 39,
