Leaders Zurrieq won the BOV Third Division championship after defeating Attard 1-0 in one of the two matches in programme at the Sirens Stadium on Sunday.

Terence Scerri scored the all-important goal on the 36th minute.

On the other hand, Mdina Knights registered a dramatic 2-1 win over Ghaxaq. Carlston Cardona put Ghaxaq ahead on the 7th minute but a Stefi Cale penalty restored equilibrium four minutes in the second half. Ryan Siberras notched the winner three minutes in added time.

Zurrieq lead the way with 55, points, followed by Xghajra on 51, Msida on 46, Dingli 36, Attard and Mdina 35, Kirkop 29, Ghaxaq 26, Gharghur 19, Ta’ Xbiex 18, Marsaskala 6 and Mtarfa 2.
