Maroons edge past Floriana

Gzira United made sure of a top-three finish after beating Floriana 1-0 at the Hibernians Stadium on Monday.

This was the sixth positive result for the Maroons who now move seven points ahead of Hamrun and Sliema.

Gzira scored the all-important goal on the 23rd minute when off a cross by Sacha Borg from the left, Arthur Oyama deflected the ball past Akpan for an own goal.
