Wanderers place fifth

Sliema Wanderers ended their commitments in fifth place after beating Pietà Hotspurs 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.

Kilian Amehi put the Wanderers ahead on the 26th minute after exchangng the ball with Ryan Fenech and slotting the ball past the Hotspurs goalkeeper from inside the area.

Sliema doubled the score on the 62nd thanks to Ignacio Varela , who received an assist by Kilian Amehi before hitting past Chircop St John.

The Hotspurs pulled one back for the Hotspurs on the 65th minute through Paul Chimezie whose shot from inside the area beat Timothy Aquilina.
