Tedesco steps down from Hamrun coach

Giovanni Tedesco stepped down from the post of Hamrun Spartans coach despite having another year left on his contract.

Tedesco had joined the Spartans last summer, leading the Spartans to fourth place – the best placing since season 1993/94. Hamrun could still qualify for a place in the UEFA Europa League this summer should Valletta win the FA Trophy on Saturday.

Giovanni Tedesco, had served as coach of Floriana between April 2014 and June 2015, a short spell with Birkirkara between June and December 2015 and once again Floriana between June 2016 and December 2017.

His future is expected to be in the BOV Premier League once again with Gzira United seeming favourites to secure his services.
