Andrei Agius claims Footballer of the Year Award

Hibernians and Malta international defender Andrei Agius claimed the Footballer of the Year Award during the MFA Awards which was held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre on Friday.

Agius beat the challenge offered by Valletta’s Steve Borg, Henry Bonello and Rowen Muscat and Jake Grech of Hibernians.

Meanwhile Miguel Angel Alba of Valletta was voted Foreign Player of the Year while Birkirkara’s Matthew Guillaumier won the award for Young Player of the Year.

Hibernians coach Stefano Sanderra was voted Best Coach.

Haley Bugeja of Mgarr United won the awards of BOV Women’s League Best Player and Women’s Under-19 League Best Player apart from ending as top scorer.
