Romeu Romao joins Sirens

Newly-promoted Premier League side Sirens FC secured the services of Brazilian right back Romeu Péricles Romão.

Romeu Romao has been playing in Malta since 2015 when he had joined Valletta. After three years with the Citizens, he moved to Mosta last summer but joined Qormi in the January transfer window.

Earlier in his career, Romao had played for Ponte Preta, Caldense, Internacional B, Palmeiras B, Botafogo, AA Anapolina, a short spell with Vasas in Hungary, Bangu AC, Toledo EC and CE Dom Bosco.

In the mean time, Ryan Grech extends his stay with the newly-promoted Premier League side.

Meanwhile Mark Borg Hedley was confirmed as president following the club’s Annual General Meeting which was held on Monday.

John Sant and Carmel Cardona will serve as Vice-Presidents, David Muscat as Secretary and Ivan Bugeja as Treasurer. The other members of the committee are: Deputy Secretary Eamon Bugeja, Deputy Treasurer Terrance Formosa, Team Manager Gilbert Camilleri, MFA Council Member Christopher Saliba, Member  Adrian Saliba. The Club Administrator is Eamon Bugeja.

The main aim for the upcoming season is to consolidate the Club’s position in the Premier League while acquiring experience in this new venture.
