Hamrun Spartans secured the services of Italian central defender Maurizio Maraucci. He signed a one-year contract with an option for another.

The thirty-five year old started his career at Sorrento and later played at SF Aversa Normanna, Pro Patria, Grosseto, Viribus Unitis, Bacoli Sibilla Flegrea, ASD Calcio Pomigliano, Sarnese, Vico Equense, Battipagliese, Akragas, Cavese, Gladiator, Turris, Cassino and Marsala.
