Two wins for Under-19s in Austria

The Malta Under-19 national team registered two wins in two friendly matches in Austria as part of a six-day training camp ahead of November’s UEFA Under-19 Championship mini-tournament where Malta will be facing hosts Italy, Slovakia and Cyprus.

On Friday, Malta defeated FC Tirol U-19 2-1 thanks to goals by Paul Mbong and Alex Satariano. FC Tirol narrowed the deficit from the penalty spot. 

On the other hand, on Monday, Malta beat SK Jenbach 1-0 thanks to a goal by Shaun Dimech on the 68th minute.
