The Youth Football Association hosted its Annual Presentation Night at the Palace Hotel in Sliema. The winners of the various awards were presented with trophies and mementoes for their achievements during the 2018 – 2019 season, following speeches from YFA President Fr. Hilary Tagliaferro and newly elected MFA President, Bjorn Vassallo.
Attending the event were also representatives of the official sponsors – Global Security Services, Liquigas, Melita Unipol and stephengatt.com, along with the three MFA Vice-Presidents.
The most prominent awards for the night were those presented to the Most Promising Players – Sheldon Mizzi (Under-17) & Jamie Scerri (Under- 15), Section A and Knock-Out Winners (Under- 15 and Under- 17) – Pieta, the Play Fair Award – Ghaxaq (Under- 15) and Mtarfa (Under- 17) and the YFA Merit Award to Alfred and Yvonne Debono for their dedication to youth football over the last decades.
