Zebbug Rangers won The Convenience Shop Summer Cup 2019 after beating neighbours Qormi 2-1 in a decisive match on Thursday.
The tournament, organised by San Gwann FC, was held at the Charles Abela Stadium.
The team led by Clive Mizzi defeated Zejtun Corinthians on penalties, San Gwann 5-2, Mgarr United 4-2 and Qormi 2-1.
Zejtun, on the other hand, finished second after the defeats on penalties to Qormi and Zebbug and a 5-0 win over San Gwann and a 4-1 win over Mgarr.
Hosts San Gwann took third place thanks to a 1-0 win over Mgarr United, a win on penalties over Qormi and defeats to Zebbug and Zejtun. Qormi beat Zejtun on penalties but lost to San Gwann and Mgarr on penalties before the defeat to Zebbug on Thursday. Mgarr, on the other hand, defeated Qormi on penalties but lost the other three games.
