Andre Paus is new Birkirkara FC coach

Birkirkara FC announced that they have reached an agreement with André’ Paus to be the head coach of the club with an immediate effect. 

Paus will be replacing John Buttigieg who handed his resignation during the weekend. He will be the fifth coach for Birkirkara in 2019 after Paul Zammit, John Arne Riise, Mark Buttigieg and John Buttigieg.

Andre Paus started his coaching career in the Netherlands with WKE and later coached Spakenburg and Lienden. He formed part of the Vitesse coaching staff before moving to Malta in January 2014 to join Valletta, leading the Citizens to the double.

The following summer, Paus moved to Cyprus to join Anorthosis where he spent two years. He had a spell with FC Twente as a scout. Paus later served as coach of AE Larisa in Greece for a five-month spell, Enosis Neon Paralimniou in Cyprus between November 2017 and November 2018 and as caretaker coach of KW Quick ’20 in the Netherlands the final part of last season.
