Tiago Adan Fonseca brace hands ten-man Floriana deserved win over Gudja

Floriana stay on top the BOV Premier League table as Tiago Adan Fonseca scored twice in a 2-0 win for the Greens over Gudja United at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.

For Floriana, this was the third win in five matches as they maintain an unbeaten run, moving on the 11-point mark. For Gudja, on the other hand, this was the first defeat after four draws in the first four matches.

The Greens were reduced to ten men on 22 minutes after Augusto Rene Caseres was sent off by referee Trustin Farrugia Cann for serious foul play on the goalkeeper.

One minute in the second half, Floriana doubled the score thanks to another goal by Tiago Adan Fonseca whose powerful drive gave Timothy Aquilina no chance.
