A brace by Jose Lucas Caetano da Silva handed Pietà Hotspurs a 2-1 over St. Andrews in one of the three BOV First Division matches in programme on Friday.

Playing at the Luxol Stadium, Ze Lucas put the Hotspurs ahead on the 5th minute and although Luke Anthony Borg equalised on the 18th, Ze Lucas notched the winner on the 68th.

At the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Swieqi United defeated neighbours Pembroke Athleta 2-1. Ibrahim Salis put Swieqi ahead on the 16th minute and Roderick Taliana doubled the score on the 71st. Luka Mijic pulled one back three minutes from time.

Meanwhile in another match at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Qrendi and Naxxar Lions shared the spoils in a goalless draw
