Edward Herrera joins Sirens on loan

Sirens secured the services of Edward Herrera on loan from Floriana.

A product of Melita, Herrera joined Pieta Hotspurs in summer 2006 on loan. He also spent 2007/08 on loan with the Hotspurs but in summer 2008, he was loaned to Hibernians. Herrera made a permanent move to the Paolites the following season. In summer 2012, he was transfered to Birkirkara where he spent five-and-a-half-years before moving to Floriana.

The St. Paul’s Bay side are also on the verge of completing the signing of Brazilian Ricardo Silva Faria.

The twenty-seven year old was on the books of Tarxien Rainbows until last season. A product of Flamengo, he played for FK Nevezis in Lithuania and Gornik Leczna in Poland before joining Mosta in 2013. He spent on year with Msida St. Joseph before moving to Greece to play for GS Kallithea. Ricardinho later played for Busaiteen Club in Bahrain and Kufrsoum SC in Jordan before returning to Malta in summer 2017 to join the Rainbows.
