Sliema bounce back with 2-0 win over Gzira

After suffering three consecutive defeats, Sliema Wanderers returned to winning ways as they defeated neighbours Gzira United 2-0 at the Centenary Stadium.

The Maroons, who had new coach April Zammit making his debut, therefore disappointed once again as this was their third defeat in four matches.

Following a goalless first half, Alex Satariano put Sliema ahead ten minutes in the second half when he received the ball from a throw-in and beat Justin Haber with a great shot which hit the upright before ending at the back of the net.

Seven minutes later, Arthur Henrique Oyama, who joined Sliema from Gzira earlier this month, doubled the score as he beat Justin Haber direct from a corner.
