BOV GFA Player of the Month: Igor Nedeljkovic wins December 2019 Award

Igor Nedeljkovic is the BOV GFA Player of the Month for December 2019.

The 28 year old forward from Serbia joined Ghajnsielem FC at the beginning of the season following stints in Bosnia Hercegovina, Albania, Macedonia and also Hong Kong.

Ghajnsielem added Nedeljkovic to their ranks with the aim of adding to their competitiveness and their consistency. His contribution as a central attacker is accompanied with his effectiveness on the wings.

Ghajnsielem stunned reigning Champions Victoria Hotspurs in their BOV GFA League encounter during December with a 3-0 victory. Ghajnsielem opened the score following a well prepared action that ended with a cross by Michael Bezzina form the left hand side, Naim Ibrahim Belhadj headed inside the area and Igor Nedeljkovic fired in goal with a shot on the run.  Nedeljkovic added Ghajnsielem’s second on the 11th minute of the second half when he received an inviting ball on the left hand side of Victoria’s area and surprised Victoria’s defence and the goalkeeper with an excellent strike towards the upper corner of the far post.

Nedeljkovic received his BOV GFA Player of the Month trophy for December 2019 from Horace Laudi, Chief Officer at Bank of Valletta during one of his team’s training sessions. The player chose Puttinu Cares to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
