Floriana have filed a protest against the result of the BOV Premier League match against Gzira United claiming that Dexter Xuereb was ineligible to play for the Maroons.

The Greens claim that Xuereb still had to serve a one-match ban after joining the club from Mosta last month.

Floriana and Gzira United shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw on Saturday.
