Winning start for Andrea Pisanu as new Sliema Wanderers coach

A goal in stoppage time handed Sliema Wanderers a narrow win over Tarxien Rainbows at the Hibernians Stadium on Saturday as new coach Andrea Pisanu was making his debut for the Wanderers.

A win enables Sliema the chance to breathe some fresh air after they lost four out of their last five matches. They now join Santa Lucia on 20 points. Tarxien, on the other hand, remain anchored at the bottom of the table.

Substitute Jean Paul Farrugia scored the all-important goal for Wanderers one minute in added time in an otherwise drab encounter.
