Public information for FA Trophy quarter-final ties

The Malta Football Association would like to communicate the following arrangements and initiatives in relation to the 2019-20 FA Trophy quarter-final matches being played this weekend:

SATURDAY 29 FEBRUARY – HIBERNIANS STADIUM
14.00 – Balzan vs Pietà Hotspurs
16.15 – Valletta vs Gudja United

SUNDAY 1 MARCH – NATIONAL STADIUM
14.00 – Hibernians vs Ħamrun Spartans
16.15 – Floriana vs Birkirkara

• The stand allocations for the FA Trophy quarter-final matches are as follows:

Balzan, Gudja United– Side A (Hibs Stadium)
Pietà Hotspurs, Valletta – Side C (Hibs Stadium)
Birkirkara – West A (National Stadium)
Ħamrun SpartansWest C (National Stadium)
Floriana – Millennium D (National Stadium)
Hibernians – Millennium F (National Stadium)

Based on the recommendation made by the the police to separate, for safety and security reasons, the supporters of the four teams involved in Sunday’s matches, a draw was held to determine the stand allocations.

INITIATIVES

For this weekend’s FA Trophy quarter-final games, the Malta Football Association is teaming up with the Malta Football Players Association and the Malta Football Referees Association to send out a strong message against racism and violence in football.

As part of this campaign, immigrant children will accompany the teams involved in Sunday’s matches as player escorts. The Malta FA has also invited a number of immigrant families to watch these matches from the VIP sector of the National Stadium.

In addition, the Mayors of the localities represented in this weekend’s FA Trophy quarter-finals have been personally invited to the matches.
