Valletta and Hibernians take on Gudja United and Hamrun Spartans respectively for the second time in a week, Santa Lucia face Mosta while Sliema Wanderers take on Senglea Athletic in the four matches in programme on Saturday at the Centenary Stadium and the Hibernians Stadium.

Santa Lucia vs Mosta 14:00 Centenary Stadium

Santa Lucia will be aiming for a fifth win in six matches as they take on Mosta who lost three out of the last five matches. Two points separate the two teams with the Blues currently joint-seventh on 25 points, two ahead of tenth-placed Santa Lucia.

Mosta’s Zachary Brincat and Santa Lucia’s Luis Riascos Torres are ruled out through suspension.

In the first round, Mosta defeated Santa Lucia 1-0.

Valletta vs Gudja United 16:15 Centenary Stadium

After beating them 2-0 in the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy, Valletta target another win over Gudja United in order to keep the pace with Floriana on top the BOV Premier League table. The Citizens won four out of the last five matches while Gudja lost four out of the last seven matches and are currently joint-third from bottom.

Valletta’s Kevin Tulimieri and Gudja’s Imanol Gonzalez Benac are ruled out through suspension.

In the first round, Valletta defeated Gudja 1-0.

Sliema Wanderers vs Senglea Athletic 14:00 Hibernians Stadium

Led by new coach Vladan Tomic, Senglea Athletic will be hoping to bring to an end their winless streak after failing to win a single league game since the 2-0 win over Sliema in mid-October. Lying second from bottom, five points behind Sliema and Gudja, Senglea cannot afford dropping any points from this game. The Wanderers claimed seven points from the last four matches thanks to two wins and a draw.

Senglea could not count on the suspended Dejan Debono.

Hamrun Spartans vs Hibernians 16:00 Hibernians Stadium

Hibernians eliminated Hamrun Spartans from the FA Trophy after beating them 2-1 after extra-time but this time, a win by the 90th minute is necessary in order to move back in third place following Sirens’ defeat to Floriana on Friday.

Hamrun, on the other hand, share seventh place with Balzan and Mosta, on 35 points, nine behind fourth-placed Hibernians.

The Spartans, who had defeated Hibernians 2-1 in the first round, could not count on the suspended Manuel Bartolo and Valdo Goncalves Alhinho.
