After defeating Hamrun 2-1 in their last outing, Mosta registered another important win as they came from behind to beat Santa Lucia 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.

Mosta therefore move further away from the danger zone, leaving Santa Lucia fourth from bottom.

Ironically Santa Lucia took the lead on the 32nd minute when off a cross by Leighton Grech, Maxuell Maia da Silva slotted the ball home past goalkeeper Andreas Vella.

Mosta levelled matters on the 62nd minute when Takanori Yokochi sent substitute Duane Bonnici through and the latter hit low past goalkeeper Timothy Aquilina.

Ten minutes from time, the Blues notched the winner when Bonnici returned the complement to Takanori Yokochi, serving him with a low cross and the latter hit home from close range.
