New coaching appointments within MFA technical sector

As part of the on-going restructuring of the technical sector, the Malta Football Association has appointed new coaches in different age-groups.

Andrea Tedesco has been appointed Malta Under-19 coach. Thirty-five year old Andrea Tedesco had served as coach and assistant coach at Casertana before serving as assistant coach of CS Universitatea Craiova in Romania with new Malta national coach Devis Mangia.

The Italian coach’s first assignment in his new role is the friendly match against Montenegro on Tuesday at the Centenary Stadium.

Paul Gatt, who had been in charge of the Malta FA Academy teams, has been appointed Malta Under-17 coach while Andrea Vella will lead the Under-16s.

The Malta FA is also in the process of recruiting new coaches for the Under-15 age-group.
